1. Who we are
Cleaning Hub is operated by Cleaning Hub Inc. ("we", "us"), with its registered office in Ontario, Canada. For privacy questions, contact privacy@cleaninghub.app.
2. What we collect
Account & identity: name, email, phone, date of birth, profile picture, language, role (Client / Cleaner / Enterprise). Booking & service: service address, postal code, residence type, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, pets details, notes, photos, ratings, reviews. Payments: limited card metadata (brand, last 4, expiry) via Stripe, billing name; Cleaning Hub never stores full card numbers or CVV. Location & device: precise GPS during a live booking (with explicit consent), IP address, user-agent, time-zone, app version. Cleaner-only: government-issued ID information, selfie, background-check status (processed by Checkr or a similar partner). Communications: messages exchanged on the platform, support requests.
3. How we use it
We use your information to: (a) create and manage your account; (b) match Clients and Cleaners and execute bookings; (c) authorize and capture payments via Stripe; (d) verify Cleaner identity and (where lawful) run background checks; (e) operate trust-and-safety features (arrival code, live tracking, disputes); (f) provide support and respond to complaints; (g) detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or abuse; (h) improve the Platform and develop new features; (i) comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share information only with parties that help us run the service: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Stripe (payment processing), Google Maps (address autocomplete, geocoding, distance, live map), Twilio or equivalent (notifications), Checkr or a similar partner (cleaner verification), our hosting providers, customer-support tools, and legal/compliance partners. Each acts under a written agreement that requires confidentiality and limits use to what we direct. We also share information with a Cleaner you book (name, address, notes) and with a Client a Cleaner accepts (first name, masked address). We will disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect safety.
5. Cleaner-specific privacy
Clients only see a Cleaner's first name, initial of last name, and profile picture before booking. After a booking is confirmed they see what is necessary to complete the service (e.g. arrival map, live location during travel). Cleaners only see Clients' initials and the address of the service, not the Client's phone number, until the Client opts to share.
6. Location data
Live location is collected from a Cleaner's device only when a booking is active and only between the start of travel and the end of the service. The Client receives this position when the Cleaner is within a reasonable distance of the service address. Live location is not retained after the booking ends.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use first-party cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, store language preferences (cleaninghub_locale), remember the address you selected, and preserve booking drafts between sessions. We use lightweight analytics to understand usage patterns. We do not sell personal information.
8. Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to comply with tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and dispute-resolution obligations (typically up to 7 years). Booking records are retained for at least 7 years for financial-record purposes. Cleaner verification artifacts are retained per the provider's policy and applicable law.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (PIPEDA in Canada, Law 25 in Québec, GDPR if you are in the EU, CPRA if you are in California, etc.), you may: access your personal data; correct inaccuracies; request deletion (subject to legal retention); object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with the privacy regulator in your jurisdiction. To exercise these rights, email privacy@cleaninghub.app. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
10. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, role-based access controls, and Row Level Security policies on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries. By using Cleaning Hub, you consent to these transfers, subject to applicable safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
12. Children
The Platform is not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact privacy@cleaninghub.app.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last revision at the top. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email.
